One of the things I love about Lowell is the connection between town and nature. You can spend time downtown browsing local shops or meeting friends for dinner, walk along the river, hop on a trail, or head just outside town and quickly find yourself surrounded by woods, farmland, and open space.

The housing reflects that same variety. You’ll find charming older homes close to downtown, established neighborhoods, newer construction, condominiums, wooded properties, acreage, and country homes throughout the surrounding Lowell and Vergennes Township areas. Whether you prefer being close to the heart of town or having more room around you, Lowell offers plenty of ways to feel at home.

Where Rivers, Trails & Community Meet

Outdoor recreation is woven into life in Lowell. The Lowell Area Trailway connects parks, schools, and other regional trails, while the North Country Trail and Fred Meijer trail network provide even more opportunities to explore on foot or by bike.

The rivers add another dimension. The Flat River runs right through downtown, with riverfront parks, walking areas, and access for kayaking and fishing. Just north of town, Fallasburg Park offers beautiful Flat River frontage, hiking trails, picnic areas, and its historic covered bridge.

Downtown brings everything back together with locally owned businesses, restaurants, arts, community events, and the riverfront creating a gathering place at the center of town.
